New Book project: a life and art study of Max Linder (in English), entitled “The Rise and Fall of Max Linder: The First Cinema Celebrity” to be published by BearManorMedia in late 2019, cover by Marlene Weisman. Filmography by Catherine Cormon of the EYE Film museum. Ohio University OURC Grant received for this project December 2016, which funded trips to NYC (Lincoln Center Library of the Performing Arts and MoMA Film Study Center) and Paris (Bibliotheque Nationale de Paris, Fondation Jerome Sedoux Pathé, Cinematheque Française, Lobster Films). Ohio University Baker Fund grant received in 2018 to spend a month in France and Austria, seeing Linder’s birthplace, Bordeaux, researching at Toulouse and Nice, as well as Paris again.  Last research trip to Paris will be early May 2019.
